Terms of Service

The agreement between you and Kolo.

v1.0· Republic of Liberia

Effective date: June 22, 2026 Last updated: June 22, 2026

These Terms of Service (the "Terms") are a contract between you and Kolo Group of Companies, a business corporation organized under the laws of the Republic of Liberia (Business Registration No. 054281714, TIN 502485526) ("Kolo," "we," "us"). By creating an account or using kolo1847.com, our mobile apps, or any related service (the "Service"), you agree to these Terms.

1. The Service

Kolo is a platform where creators publish and sell digital content; music, video, eBooks, photography, blogs, vlogs, live experiences, and event tickets and where fans discover, buy, tip, subscribe, and gift. The Service runs on the web and on mobile apps for Android and iOS.

2. Your account

You must be at least thirteen (13) years old to use the Service. Users under eighteen (18) use the Service in the Young Users mode with safety defaults on.

You agree to provide accurate information, keep it up to date, and protect your password.

You are responsible for activity that occurs on your account. Notify us immediately at security@kolo1847.com if you believe your account has been compromised.

You may have only one personal account, unless we authorize otherwise in writing.

3. The Kolo Wallet

Every account includes a Kolo Wallet denominated in Liberian Dollars (LRD), with USD support for users transacting from outside Liberia. You can top up via Lonestar Cell MTN Mobile Money, Orange Money, local bank cards, or international cards via our payment partners. Wallet balances are not bank deposits, do not earn interest, and are held subject to applicable Liberian payment regulations. Kolo absorbs mobile money fees on top ups under LRD 5,000.

4. Buying, tipping, and subscribing

Prices are set by the artist and shown in LRD (with USD displayed where relevant).

All purchases are final unless this Service or Liberian law specifically provides otherwise. If you believe a purchase on your account was fraudulent, write to support@kolo1847.com and we will investigate and, where the claim is upheld, refund it.

Tips and gifts are non-refundable.

Subscriptions auto-renew until cancelled. You can cancel at any time in your account settings.

5. Selling on Kolo (the 80/20 split)

If you are a Verified Artist, the headline split for direct content sales is 80% to you, 20% to Kolo, calculated on the gross sale amount net of mobile-money processing fees that we pass through (see our Artist Content & Revenue Share Agreement for full schedule across content types).

You retain ownership of your content. You grant Kolo a worldwide, non-exclusive license to host, transcode, watermark, distribute, and promote your content on the Service.

You promise that the content you upload is yours to publish and does not infringe anyone else's rights.

Payouts run weekly to your verified mobile-money account on Fridays, with faster payouts available on request.

6. Acceptable use

You may not, and you may not encourage others to:

Upload content you do not own or do not have permission to share, including songs, videos, books, or photographs.

Misrepresent your identity, impersonate another person, or operate a fraudulent account.

Use the Service for money laundering, terrorist financing, or any unlawful purpose.

Circumvent watermarking, DRM, audio fingerprinting, or other content-protection measures.

Scrape, reverse-engineer, or otherwise extract data from the Service except as permitted by law.

Engage in harassment, hate speech, threats, or content that sexualizes minors. Violations are reported to authorities.

Our Acceptable Use Policy and Community Guidelines describe the full list of prohibited conduct.

7. Content moderation

Content is screened by automated systems, the community, and Kolo's trust and safety team. We may remove or restrict content that violates these Terms or applicable law. Artists may appeal a takedown within seven (7) days; appeals are reviewed by a different person than the original moderator.

8. Intellectual property

Kolo and its logos, brand assets, and software are owned by Kolo or its licensors. You may not use them without our written permission.

You own the content you create and upload. You grant other users the right to view, listen, share, and interact with your content as permitted by Kolo's features (for example, duets, stitches, and quotes), subject to the protection measures described above.

9. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, that put other users or Kolo at risk, or that are dormant for an extended period. You may close your account at any time in settings; any remaining wallet balance will be paid out per our Payout Policy.

10. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is." We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any content will be accurate. To the maximum extent permitted by Liberian law, Kolo disclaims all implied warranties.

11. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Kolo's total liability to you for any claim arising out of or relating to the Service shall not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid Kolo in the twelve (12) months before the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) USD 100. Kolo is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, lost profits, or loss of data.

12. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Liberia, without regard to its conflict of law rules. The parties agree to first attempt good-faith negotiation. Disputes that cannot be resolved that way will be settled by the competent courts of Montserrado County, Liberia, unless the parties agree to arbitration.

13. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced in the app or by email at least fourteen (14) days before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after the effective date means you accept the updated Terms.
