Community Guidelines

The rules that make Kolo a place worth showing up to.

Kolo is the home of Liberian entertainment. These guidelines exist so that creators can earn, fans can enjoy, and young users stay safe. Every account agrees to follow them; every account is held to them.

1. Be real

Use your real name or a stage name that is clearly yours. Do not impersonate other people, brands, or Kolo staff.

Only operate accounts you are authorized to run. Buying or selling accounts is prohibited.

Do not use the Service to commit fraud, scam, or deceive other users.

2. Only post what you own

Upload music, video, books, photos, and writing that you created or have explicit permission to publish.

Sampling or remixing requires permission from the original artists. Collab tools and split agreements exist for that purpose.

Re-uploads of another creator's work, including from WhatsApp leaks or YouTube rips, are not allowed.

3. Respect each other

Kolo welcomes vigorous discussion, robust criticism, and Liberian humor. It does not welcome:

Hate speech or harassment on the basis of ethnicity, county, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or any protected characteristic.

Threats, doxxing, or coordinated abuse.

Content that incites violence or celebrates real-world harm.

4. Keep it safe for young users

Sexual content involving minors is banned with zero tolerance and reported to authorities.

Sexual content involving adults must be rated M and is restricted from accounts under eighteen.

Content depicting graphic violence is rated M and restricted from accounts under eighteen.

Content promoting self-harm, suicide, or dangerous challenges is removed.

5. Keep it legal

Do not post content that promotes illegal drug sales, weapons, human trafficking, or other crimes.

Do not use the Service for money laundering, terrorist financing, or sanctioned activity.

Respect privacy. Do not share another person's identification, financial details, or private communications without consent.

6. Play fair in money matters

Do not manipulate plays, follows, votes, or rankings.

Do not abuse refunds, chargebacks, or buyer protection.

Sponsored content must be clearly labelled as sponsored.

7. Live experiences

Live audio rooms, livestream concerts, and Q&As are held to the same standards as recorded content. Hosts are responsible for what happens in their rooms. Moderators may remove participants who break the guidelines, and Kolo may end a live session that puts users or the platform at risk.

8. How we enforce

Moderation runs in three layers: automated screening, community reporting, and human review by the Kolo Trust & Safety team. Enforcement actions, from a warning to a permanent ban, scale with the severity and history of the violation. Decisions are logged. Any artist or user may appeal a takedown or suspension within seven (7) days, reviewed by a different moderator than the one who made the original decision.

9. Report something

If you see something that breaks these guidelines, report it from the content or profile in question, or write to support@kolo1847.com. Emergencies involving imminent harm should also be reported to local authorities.

These guidelines work alongside our Terms of Service and Acceptable Use Policy. Where they overlap, the strictest rule applies.
