Deleting Your Kolo Account
How to delete your account, and what happens when you do.
This is the same document shown inside the Kolo app.
Last updated: August 4, 2026
You can delete your Kolo account at any time, and you do not need to explain why. This page describes exactly what happens when you do, and every way to request it.
How to delete your account
From the app (fastest). Open Kolo, go to Profile, scroll to Delete account, and follow the confirmation steps. Deletion runs immediately.
Without the app. If you no longer have access to the app, email privacy@kolo1847.com from any address, telling us the phone number your account is registered under. We will verify that you control that number and complete the deletion within thirty (30) days.
What is deleted
The following are erased permanently and cannot be recovered:
- Your profile, display name, photo, and county
- Your phone number and any identity documents you submitted for verification
- Your playback history and saved progress
- Your comments, likes, reactions, and follows
- Your notification tokens and devices
If you are a creator, your published music, videos, and shorts are taken off Kolo at the same time.
What is kept, and why
Records of purchases, payments, payouts, and tickets are retained because financial law requires us to keep them. After deletion these records refer to your account only by a random internal identifier that no longer connects to your name, phone number, or any other personal detail.
Before you can delete
If money is still moving, deletion waits until it settles, so nothing you are owed is lost:
- Your Kolo wallet must be empty. Spend or withdraw the balance first.
- Any payout on its way to you must arrive first.
- Any booking with money held in escrow must complete or be cancelled first.
The app tells you exactly which of these applies when you try.
