Acceptable Use Policy

What is and is not allowed on Kolo.

v1.0 | Republic of Liberia

This Acceptable Use Policy (the "AUP") applies to everyone who uses Kolo's services; listeners, creators, brand partners, and staff. It is binding under the Terms of Service. Violations can result in content removal, account suspension, permanent ban, withholding of payouts, and referral to authorities.

1. Prohibited content

Child sexual abuse material has zero tolerance, reported to authorities.

Non-consensual intimate imagery.

Content that incites violence, terrorism, or genocide.

Hate speech targeting ethnicity, county, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or any protected characteristic.

Content that promotes self-harm, suicide, eating disorders, or dangerous challenges.

Sale or promotion of illegal drugs, weapons, counterfeit goods, or trafficked persons.

Personal information of others shared without consent.

Malware, phishing kits, or instructions for unauthorized access to computer systems.

2. Prohibited conduct

Impersonation of another person, brand, or Kolo staff.

Operating multiple accounts to manipulate plays, votes, rankings, or referrals.

Scraping, automated access, or unauthorized data extraction.

Circumventing watermarking, DRM, audio fingerprinting, or geo-restrictions.

Money laundering, terrorist financing, sanctions evasion, or tax evasion.

Abuse of payouts, refunds, chargebacks, or buyer protection.

Harassment, stalking, threats, or coordinated abuse of any user.

3. Special rules for paid content

Content sold on Kolo must be original or properly licensed.

Pricing must reflect the actual content; deceptive listings ("buy this for X" but delivering Y) are prohibited.

Sponsored content must be clearly disclosed.

4. Special rules for live experiences

Hosts are responsible for what happens in their rooms and streams.

Tipping and gifting may not be used to coerce, harass, or solicit prohibited conduct.

Kolo may end a live session that puts users or the platform at risk.

5. Special rules for young users

Accounts under eighteen (18) operate in Young Users mode by default: restricted content rating, no autoplay, daily screen time summary, and a "Take a break" nudge after 45 minutes.

Adult content is not served to accounts under eighteen.

Direct messaging and live participation by accounts under eighteen are limited.

6. Reporting and enforcement

Reports go to support@kolo1847.com or via the report button on any content or profile. Enforcement actions scale with severity and history: warning, content removal, feature restrictions, account suspension, permanent ban, payout hold, referral to authorities. Appeals are available within seven (7) days through your account or by writing to support@kolo1847.com

7. Cooperation with authorities

Kolo cooperates with valid legal requests from Liberian law-enforcement and regulatory authorities. Where required to keep users safe, Kolo may disclose information without prior notice.
